Ended up going back to McGills for dinner, not so much because they were amazing but more for convenience. Most of the places the hotel advertises aren’t open yet, or closed LONG ago (Cabin Creek Smokehouse listings everywhere still? Really?). And the martini bar that was all hyped up? It was closed. Headed straight for the bar and started drinking slushie Hurricanes. You know the ones, the Fat Tuesday sticky sweet things. Played slots again, watched my husband win some more money (yay!), and I walked away with 15 cents in change. Had fun roaming the casino, then had lobster bisque and the baby back ribs appetizer for dinner. The bisque was really good, and I continued the “laissez les bon temps roulez” theme I was trying to adopt by pairing it with a premium bar hurricane, which was better.
My day is over.

Started out rough. The bed in the suite is by far the worst I’ve ever slept in, not just way too firm, but the entire frame structure is so flimsy that every breath causes the bed to move. Roger eventually moved to the sofa, neither of us sleeping last night. No problem, just regroup and go to breakfast! Down to the Wild Potato Buffet, where we are stunned to find a 30 foot line of seniors. Apparently Monday is seniors breakfast for $ 1.99, serious miscalculation on my part. No problem, had several people tell me I simply have to try OK Country Donuts chocolate frosted donut holes, so we’re off to follow the Garmin thataway. But when we arrive, they’re out.
We finally get some pancakes at IHOP, and then its off to the Sprint Store to see about getting my phone replaced or repaired. Bad news there too, nothing in stock, so I have to wait until Thursday or Friday to get a replacement under insurance. Awesome, no cellphone on my birthday. Off to walmart to buy an airmattress and take a nap before I do someone bodily damage…

Apparently dice are illegal in Oklahoma. WTF? In what universe is dice any different than other forms of gambling? Craps, my favorite game, is only available Tuesday through Saturday night only, and its a tacky weird digital scren simulating dice toss. Roulette is the same way here.

Had dinner at the steakhouse here in the resort, McGills. Not bad, have had better though. Weird note, ordered the rice instead of potato as a side to my steak, and it came with huge chucks of chicken in it. You would think they would mention, “oh hey, there’s chicken in that rice!”

Good thing the suite has a jacuzzi tub, the bed in this room is the most miserable thing I’ve ever seen.

OK I decided this weekend I would get on board with Twitter and spend some testing out PockeTwit.. and my Treo just died with no warning. Is that a sign??

Got a huge suite at the casino in Tulsa for an extended weekend to spend my birthday!! Roger ordered a 12 pack of Moxie and a gift basket with truffles, chocolates and all sorts of other munchies so the fridge is stocked. Arrived on a Sunday though, so the trip to the liquor store is OUT.
